From Waste to What’s Next.

Beyond the Classroom. Inside the Circular Economy

INTRODUCING UNKARA IMMERSIVE EDUCATION

For high school seniors, college participants, and other young circular fashion enthusiasts, Unkara opens doors to a world of ideas, people and possibilities. Through curated global experiences, participants meet innovators, entrepreneurs and local communities developing real-world sustainability solutions. They gain firsthand perspectives, build meaningful connections and explore pathways for future impact.

Our Mission

To turn environmental challenges into pathways for economic mobility by connecting education, skills development, local knowledge, and market opportunity.

Our Vision

A more inclusive circular economy where communities build livelihoods, businesses, and industries from resources that would otherwise be wasted, and where more economic value is created locally.

About US - Rethink How Clothing Is Made and Valued

Fashion can create economic opportunity without treating clothing as disposable. We explore how better design, longer product life, local production, repair, reuse, and circular business models can create more value from the materials already in circulation.

Turn Textile Waste Into Economic Opportunity

Textile waste is both an environmental challenge and an underused resource. Unkara explores how collection, sorting, reuse, upcycling, recycling, and manufacturing can reduce waste while creating jobs, enterprises, and stronger local circular economies.

    Preserve Textile Knowledge and Craft

Textiles carry cultural knowledge, technical skill, and generations of local expertise. Unkara works with local practitioners and communities to connect these traditions with new opportunities in circular design, production, and enterprise.

    Build Livelihoods Through Skills

Textile skills can create pathways to income, entrepreneurship, and greater economic mobility. We support training and partnerships that help people build practical skills connected to local and emerging markets.
